Below is a collection of photos from a trip to New Zealand's subantarctic islands in January 2011. Photos are in chronological order starting with our voyage south (after departing Bluff) to the Snares, Campbell Island, the Auckland Islands, and returning to Dunedin.

Our first and only dive at Campbell Island - Davis Point at the entrance to Perseverance Harbour.
Conditions early in the morning were a little gloomy. Water temperature was a brisk 8°C.
The white blobs in this photo and the one below are a pair of nudibranchs -
Atagema carinata.


The kelp in the background, Macrocystis pyrifera, set the scene for most of our subantarctic dives
